WE FINALLY HAVE OUR BABY.
She is beautiful, and of course already a Daddy's girl. Everything went well and she cried very little, unlike most of the others. Dawn cried most of all. She is very small, unlike the rest of our babies.
Just to let everyone know, we are able to post blogs but not read the comments from here. We encourage you to add comments for Alexandra, we are going to save this blog for her. If you want to comment to us directly you can e-mail Dawn at her normal e-mail address (dawnmanuel@comcast.net), we are able to check those.
Ashlyn changed her first diaper and she is feeding her, her first bottle.
Alexandra is currently teething and sucks her thumb. She will be 11 months tomorrow.

These have to be some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. The love, happiness, and relief is just pouring from your face Dawn. Alexandra, you are such a beautiful child and so lovely to embrace your mommy so willingly on your very first day together. And I can totally see how you can be a daddy's girl! YOu have a terrific daddy who will love you lots. Just wait till you meet your brothers!!! They will adore you and be your protectors. However, they will have to compete with your every caring and loving sister! You are fortunate and your family is so blessed to have you as well. God is good!!!
How exciting - I'm so glad to see you guys all together. Dawn - you're absolutely glowing... I'm so glad to see you've finally gotten to your baby. It must be such an overwhelming experience to wait as long as you have, and finally make it to the end of the process. I know that is how my parents felt when we went to get my little brother. Enjoy!! We can't wait to meet her back here at home!
Alexandra,
I am overcome with emotion as I look at the pictures of you and your family. What a beautiful baby you are and how lucky your family and you are to have found eachother. I know that your Mother has loved from the moment she saw your picture and that your dad and brothers and sister will protect you and teach you amazing things. How great is God to give such an amazing opportunity!! I cant wait to meet you. Have a safe trip.
What a magnificent journey. This little baby girl will bring much joy from across the world to her new family in Texas. The photos are amazing and your tears of joy are so well deserved. I don't know of many mothers that aren't teared up with the thought of holding their new baby after such a long wait. I'm so glad that she's found her mother's, father's and siblings' arms. What a fantastic blessing!! Best of luck in your travels home - we will be praying for you all!
